NEEDLES
– Size 3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, Children’s: 40-60 cm / 16-24” length; Adults 80cm / 32” length (or size needed to obtain gauge) to knit the body and bottom part of yoke.
– Size 3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, Children’s 40-60 cm / 16-24” length; Adult’s 80cm / 32” (or 0.25mm / 1 US size smaller than gauge-size needle) to knit the yoke garter and brioche sections, sleeves, and hem. If not using magic loop for sleeves, then a set of double pointed needles, or your preferred method of mall circumference knitting, will be required.
Spare needle or smooth waste yarn for holding live sts.
Tapestry/Darning needle
Stitch marker: 1 total.
GAUGE
23 sts x 32 rnds = 10cm x 10cm (4”x 4”) in stocking stitch worked in the round after blocking on largest needle.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
Summerlicious is worked in one piece, in the round, from the top down. The EOR marker is placed at the back centre. Commencing with a garter and brioche yoke, then some short rows are worked to the back of the tee before finishing the yoke to the sleeve and body separation. The body is then worked to the hem. Finally, the sleeves are worked from the top down.
You can shorten/ lengthen this garment by knitting less/ more body length before commencing the hem. Try on as you go and adjust accordingly. Please note that extra yarn will be required if you knit the body length longer than measurement in schematic.
VIDEO TUTORIALS
There are several video tutorials linked to this pattern.
1) Jogless Garter in the round – I suggest you watch this before casting on, so you can determine if you’d like to use this method for knitting the yoke.
2) Two colour Brioche in the round.
3) German Short rowing.

ERRATA
Dear Summerlicious (Adult size) knitters,
A typo has been found in the Adult sizes 6 – 9. Please accept my sincere apologies. Even with this being Tech Edited and Test knit, these little errors still got through.
The errors occur on Page 6 in the Fourth Round Increase for Sizes 6 – 9 only. All other sizes are correct.
This increase happens on a purl round and thus the stitches should be purled. The instructions ask you to M1Rp, but then follow up with knit stitches instead of purling. For example;
Size 6: M1Rp, k4 2 times, M1Rp, k4, M1Rp, k3 34 times to last 8 sts, M1Rp, k4 2 times.
This has now been corrected to:
Size 6: M1Rp, p4 2 times, M1Rp, p4, M1Rp, p3 34 times to last 8 sts, M1Rp, p4 2 times.

Short Row 2 (WS): DS, p183 (196, 207, 219) (231, 263, 287, 311, 336) sts turn.
